BROW PRE-CARE
How to prepare for your appointment:
- No Intense exercise 24 hours prior.
- No Alcohol or Caffeine 24 hours prior.
- Avoid sun and tanning 1 week prior.
- No fish oil or supplements 1 week prior.
- No waxing 24 hours prior.
- No AHA skin care products 4 weeks prior/ this includes Retin A, AHA’s, anything chemically exfoliating the skin.
- No chemical peels 3 weeks prior.
- No Botox or Fillers 2 weeks prior.
- No electrolysis 2 weeks prior.
- No eyebrow/ lash tinting 48 hours prior.
- No Asprinor ibuprofen 1 week before procedure.
All forms of cosmetic tattooing can cause redness and swelling, Your initial result will appear darker than desired but will fade 30-40% during the healing process. We ask that you plan your session accordingly. If you have any major events or vacations planned, it is wise to schedule appropriately to allow healing time.
* If you are receiving Lip Blush procedure and have a history of Cold Sores, Mouth Ulcers or Fever Blisters, it is likely that your immune system will react to the procedure. Please be proactive in contacting your physician for an antiviral medication such as Valtrax. It is important to allow this medication to be in your system 3-4 days before your scheduled session. Please advise with your artist and doctor if you have any concerns.
* For your Brow Micropigmentation service, no grooming is necessary. Let the brows grow in so that we can see your natural shape.
*Healing varies with every client. Your freshly pigmented skin will appear bold at first and go through a healing process. Things like scabbing, redness, swelling and peeling are all expected. During your healing process, it is important that you reach out to your artist with any questions.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- Allergies to anesthetic (lidocaine, tetracaine, benzocaine) or pigment.
- MRI’s scheduled within the year(Please consult Doctor).
- Any medical concerns in regards to healing or are prone to infection.
- Pregnancy
- Blood thinning medications
- Autoimmune disorders
- Viral Infections and/or disease
- Diabetes
- A Pacemaker/heart problems
- A family history of keloids
- If you have had botox in the past 2 weeks
- Currently sick with a virus or bacterial infection
- If you have used accutane in the past year.
- Extremely oily or problematic skin.
*Chemotherapy or Radiation: With all of the chemicals going through the body, it is unknown how the tattoo will heal and it is not worth the risk. Please wait at least 8 months post Chemo and consult with your Doctor.
