DAY 1 (DAY OF PROCEDURE):
Your lips will be swollen overnight, sometimes for 48 hours. It is very important to remove the lymph fluid from the surface of the skin to avoid heavy scabbing. Before bed, rinse with lukewarm water, gently removing any dry lymph, pat dry and apply post care lip balm. The lips may bruise after procedure but will subside within 24 hours.
DAY 2:
Keep the skin moist at all times, DO NOT LET THE LIPS DRY OUT. Continue to apply post care balm/ ointment every 30 minutes throughout the day.
DAY 1-7 (OR UNTIL SCAB IS GONE):
Do not rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let it heal naturally, otherwise, there might be scarring or pigment loss.
AVOID:
Do not apply anything besides the provided lip balm (no vaseline, antibiotic creams, polysporin etc.). Do not use creams that contain acids or ingredients that will lighten or exfoliate the skin. Failure to follow instructions may result in infection, pigment loss or discoloration. Touch up if needed can be done no sooner than 10 weeks.
